DNA 2012, the 4thInternational Conference with the theme “INNOVATIONS IN THE CHANGING WORLD” was organized to keep the scientific world in the running track along with the contemporary world outside the fences of the individual demesne. The event brought together the knowledge from various related disciplines to implement the technologies of one domain to foster the standards of the other. The objective of the event was to Review and improve the applications of the DNA Based Technologies in the fields of Food technology; DNA based personalized medicine, Relationship establishment, Crime investigation, Tracing the identity of the victims in mass destructions etc.
DNA technology has engraved its name in improving the nutritional quality of the food by producing GM Foods. BT Cotton, Golden Rice, Flavor Saver tomato are the best examples of this advance technology that has improved the standards of the foods cultivated and consumed.
