BDRC To Start New Clinical Research Training And Projects With Lab Exposure May 2010 At Hyd And Lko

BDRC announces new courses in Clinical Research with wet laboratory exposure. Blending Biotechnology oriented clinical research course is first of its kind in the country. In recent times, Clinical research as a subject has grown rapidly. It has changed the face of modern medicine and as far as employment is concerned, it has become the second fastest growing sector. Qualified clinical research associate ,clinical research coordinator ,Principal investigator etc are employed in leading Indian business houses and MNCs including pharmaceutical companies, health care chemical industries, bio-processing industries, agriculture related industries etc.

BioAxis DNA Research centre Pvt Ltd is a leading contract research organization. As per Silpa Das, Research Associate at BDRC, The new course has been launched as per the standards required in various life science and healthcare industries. We recognize effective training and development of personnel is of paramount importance and live training in this lively field was lacking in our country. Unfortunately there are no Research/training organizations in India who are imparting hands on training in this entirely new sector. Clinical Research sector is a billon dollar market and currently most of the projects are outsourced to India. We have to fully recognize the importance and value education and training for the new or existing real clinical research professional. This course will be open for registration from May 1st 2010 at our Hyderabad and Lucknow campuses.

BioAxis DNA research centre, strive to make trainee students properly exposed to hands on training in different modules of clinical research which also blends laboratory exposure with live projects which will include the patient sample testing and analysis. It will cater the needs of the students as well as working professional that are having an interest in live training and project in Clinical Research. We provide hands-on training in our equipped laboratory to the students with the latest technology which will have impact on their knowledge and finally the employability.

BRDC encourages applicants from a wide range of specializations for admissions to the Clinical research programs. It is highly interdisciplinary and applicants with degrees/strong background in Life sciences are encouraged to apply. The main objective of this program is to lessen the gap between the academics and industrial requirements.

This course is useful for Clinical Research students and professionals, medical doctors, Pharma students and professionals and other clinical professionals

Currently we are providing Clinical research courses for:
•   15 days short term course (Includes the laboratory practical and small project)
•   45 days course (Includes the laboratory practical and major project)
•   90 days course (Includes the laboratory practical with clinical molecular techniques and a major project)
•   120 days course (Includes the laboratory practical with clinical molecular techniques, medical informatics and a major project)
•   90 Days course on Statistcal analysis system (SAS)- Without the wet laboratory

Abstract

With increasing activity of genome sequencing of other organisms, biological data and DNA sequence data in particular, is accumulating with phenomenal rate. In order to exploit the wealth of sequence information and other biological data, a scientific discipline – known as ‘bioinformatics’ – has arisen that fuses biology with mathematics and computer science. How do we access, retrieve and analyze this information? How do we give a biological meaning to it ? Complexity, redundancy management, integration and interpretation of such a large volume of data are some of the challenging issues, which scientists are facing today. To find a gene within a genomic sequence is a massive task. Protein coding regions existing in vast sequence information have to be located and assigned a function. Functions of most of the proteins are determined by their three-dimensional structure. Therefore, the prediction of 3-D structure of a protein is crucial for the understanding of its function. The functional genomics which will ultimately be helpful in understanding how the organism functions and survives, are some of the areas where bioinformatics is contributing significantly.. Rational design or modification of proteins for new, hitherto unknown functions is going to be probably the greatest challenge for bioinformatics in next millennium. The background of these areas will be reviewed and the present status including the changing face of bioinformatics will be discussed.

Computational Intelligence and signal processing in Biology (CISPB) ON 24th April 2010 at NERTU Osmania University

Computational Intelligence and signal processing in Biology (CISPB)

24th April 2010 (4.45pm-8.05pm)

This Event is designed to equip the students, faculties, researchers and technocrats in the upcoming field of artificial intelligence called informational systems in the field of biology. More specifically the topics lay the basis for the need of such an interdisciplinary study both in the academics as well as in the research praxis. The background of using bioinformatics tools not only as an analytical instrument but more as a commercial solution is well elucidated in the course. The lectures will include topics like pattern recognition in bioinformatics, Micro array analysis and Artificial neural networks(ANN),Hidden Markov Models(HMM), signal processing perspectives to systems biology, clinical application of pattern recognition in diagnostics and understanding protein protein interactions in the light of signal processing.
