BioAxis DNA Research Centre (BDRC) invites applications for the “Summer training and projects program” (STPP) at Hyderabad and Lucknow. The programme is aimed to assist in Academic project completion and encourage strengthening the technical hands on quality of the students, young scientists and Life science professionals. The selection is completely based on the first come first serve basis and evaluation of CV and credentials received by the applicants, their research interest and the academic qualification.

Eligibility/Qualifications
The training program is open to students from all branches of sciences from Universities/Research Institutes.
Students Pursuing BTech/BSc (Life Science) -Preference will be given to Final Year students
Research Scholars/Students Pursuing MTech/MSc
Special consideration to Computer science students/Electronics students/Signal Processing students with flair for biology.

Application procedure
Fill in the online application form available at the website, Enclose an application fee of INR 851/ (For Hyderabad) OR INR500 or Lucknow)  in the form of a DD in favor of “BioAxis DNA Research Centre Private Ltd” payable at Hyderabad OR Lucknow along with 1 recent photograph and detailed CV. A letter of recommendation is must for candidates, it can be written by an HOD, Researcher or a Scientist working in the area of Life Sciences. If the candidate is not found suitable for any Programme, application fee will be refunded after deducting the processing fee of INR200.

Selection Process
BDRC looks for enthusiastic young students to have solicited interest in developing new strategies and technology in Biological Sciences. One of the major criteria used in selection is that the selected candidates should represent the nationwide coverage of different Indian states (based on the location of their academic institutions, but irrespective of their birthplace, sex, cast or religion). The “Recommendation/reference Letter” is an important consideration in the selection of candidates along with the academic record.  The number of trainees’ intake varies between 150-200 candidates, and mainly depends upon the availability of staff scientists/Available Guides at BDRC. The candidates will have to choose from the three options “Only Training, Training with Project, and Project without Training”. Depending upon the choice and availability of programme tentative courses will be offered to students. The programme is available in specialized fields of Recombinant DNA Technology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Forensic Science and Clinical Research etc. There are certain courses which includes both the wet lab and Dry lab exposure. There will be an average fee of INR4000-7000 per month depending upon the type of Training/Project. The confirmation letter along with the coursework will be sent within one week from the receipt of Documents at the laboratory in case completed application is received before the Deadline. Based on the previous year experiences we recommend completing the application process at earliest possible time since applications will not be entertained once we reach the threshold in any case. Incomplete Applications will be rejected immediately without any notification.

Boarding/Lodging
BDRC will provide assistance in getting Boarding/Lodging to its collaborated guest houses nearby Laboratory. There is no financial support available for Boarding/Lodging from BDRC side. The average lodging charges ranges from INR3000-5000 per month including food.
