It can report the genetic risk of getting Type 2 Diabetes as low as 6 per cent and as high as 52 per cent. It can also foretell age-related eye disorders as low as 1 per cent and as high as 50 per cent.
The test is carried out through non-invasive technique as it is performed with saliva which is collected through a special Buccal DNA Collector. Samples for the test can be collected and sent back by post through several sample collection centers located in almost all the major cities of India. Eight-12 weeks after mailing the kit back, a full genetic report outlining your health risks and ancestry is sent. A genetic counsellor explains all the detail of the tests report. The report also includes the Asans/Yogas and a brief diet plan and other precautions needed for a safe future.
